MyTownNow is launching an internet portal on campuses across America. We are looking for self motivated entrepreneurial interns to help us set up each college town. Mytownnow is the ultimate college town and college student portal. It is designed from the ground up with a viral marketing strategy that connects town residents with the local college merchants online and in-store. From its proprietary bookmarking system and merchant awards game to ordering takeout food online, mytownnow is a website that every college town resident in America will enjoy and need.

MyTownNow offers its interns the opportunity to learn to sell, manage, and roll out a business plan that will give you invaluable experience. We understand that in order to become successful after college you must have practical and applicable hands on experience.

As an intern for The MyTownNow you will come to Atlanta for an all expenses paid training conference with your peers. Over the spring or summer you will develop your skills in sales, marketing, management, and communications. You will:

1) learn how to sell yourself
2) gain self-confidence
3) achieve business goals
4) form lasting relationships with our company that result in job references, recommendation letters, and job interviews.
5) Be challenged to thrive in the real world

The life long lessons of persistence, determination, and rising to new challenges on a daily basis can only be experienced when you are placed in the driver's seat. We need interns with a dedicated entrepreneurial spirit that can make things happen.

Job Description

  • Work one-on-one with local business owners selling advertising space in our online mytownnow college website portal. Learn the art of selling and its rewards.
  • Help create and implement a viral marketing strategy within the student population
  • Attend formal training in Atlanta during a 3-day conference where you will meet and work with other interns from universities nationwide.
  • Work full time Monday - Friday 9:30am-5:00pm in your college town. Participate in sales meetings, provide written reports, and attend company wide conference calls.
  • Learn to manage portfolio of clients, set up meetings, sign contracts, provide customer service, handle accounts receivables, and meet production deadlines.
  • Assist in product development and brainstorming ideas to add to MTN’s portal

You must be outgoing, social, friendly, talkative , hardworking, disciplined, motivated, and driven for success. You will need your own car and internet access.
